The Small Ideas Big Impact Fund
One of the aspects of this project is the Small Ideas Big Impact fund, offering grants ranging from £50 to £5000. It's open to groups and individuals who feel they could help test ways to detect, prevent or treat malnutrition around the theme of food. The first round of grants was hugely successful, and already 23 grant applications have been funded across Scotland. £70k has been put back into the community supporting projects such as men’s kitchen, lunch clubs, cooking skills courses and weekend snack bags. Applications for the next round of grants are open from 6th May until 2nd August with successful applicants being announced in autumn 2019.
