Pupil Equity Fund

A Scottish Government fund which aims to boost the attainment levels of the most deprived pupils in 183 schools across Highland Council's region is still open. The Pupil Equity Funding (PEF) is being provided as part of the £750 million Attainment Scotland Fund which will be invested over the current parliamentary term (2016 to 2021). PEF is allocated directly to schools and targeted at closing the poverty related attainment gap. The purpose of PEF is to close the poverty related attainment gap, by improving the educational outcomes of children affected by poverty. In Highland, third sector organisations can register to become a provider to schools of services that meet the needs identified. Schools should identify the issue to be addressed, and the target group (or groups) of pupils most in need of additional support, based on an analysis of local evidence and data.
If you would like more information or would like to apply to be included in the list of PEF providers email healthadmin@highlandtsi.org.uk.
