PREPARATIONS are well under way for an action-packed week of fun and learning at the holiday club run by Pulteneytown Parish Church in Argyle Square, Wick, starting on Monday, August 12.
The holiday club, run by a team of church volunteers, has taken place annually for more than 30 years and is always a firm favourite with the large number of children who attend. In addition to learning about Bible characters, the youngsters can choose to take part in activities such as arts and crafts, drama, dance, football and movie-making. Afternoon outings include trips to Reiss beach and Dunnet Forest.
Breakout is a special programme in the evenings where activities are aimed at the high school age group. All parents and friends are invited to the Big Celebration on the final Sunday evening in the church at 7pm where the children will be presenting an overall picture of the week’s events.
Registration for the holiday club takes place on Saturday, August 10, from 10am to noon at the church. Children who are due to start P2 upwards after the summer holidays are welcome to register – the cost for the week is £10. The high school age group can sign up for free registration to Breakout, also on August 10 (from 7-8pm).
