Befriending Caithness looking for referrals for 40-60 years project

Befriending Caithness

The main aim for Befriending Caithness 40-60 year old project is to make people feel less isolated and lonely, due to circumstances outwith their control, we can all get very easily isolated and this project brings people back into the community by joining other groups to meet other people, this will help these individuals quality of life by showing them that their community cares and hope that in many situations through support and friendship these people can feel part of something again.

They also recruit volunteers to become befrienders and then match them with a befriendees with similar interests to go and chat with them on a weekly basis.

They have had befriendees who have used the service and have now become befrienders which is a great outcome seeing their confidence blossom.

If you know of anyone who would benefit from this service please contact Isobel Campbell assistant befriending coordinator on 01955609962.
