Bird Surveys are offered to all farmers and crofters throughout the Highlands. When a farmer requests a survey we match them up with a trained local volunteer. This involves carrying out 3 or 4 farm surveys during April – July and recording all birds seen and heard on to the farm map. Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to learn more about farmland birds and farmers gain specific advice based on the species found.
