Highland Branch of Crohn's and Colitis UK.
The role includes being responsible for organising group meetings, attending training and development, and working with both our medical advisors on the local health board and the charity's staff at head office. Ideally someone who is enthusiastic and has some free time to raise the profile of the charity locally.
These groups aim to raise funds and awareness for the charity, also to hold educational meetings and also informal drop in events where people can come along and speak with others who understand what it is like to live with these conditions. In addition these local groups are supported by the charity at National level, who offer guidance and training for volunteers. The charity also works with the local health board to try and improve patient care for people in the Highlands.
