New community Transport proposal

A community project aiming to bring a network of rapid electrical charging points to the Highlands is seeking the views of locals on the use of electric vehicles and potential future developments. Action Highland is leading the project with the aim of helping communities develop in rural areas. It is proposing the points be powered by local energy generation and incorporate energy storage. Led by the H.C the project will be developed by three community groups, Transition Black Isle, Caithness Rural transport, and Community Energy Scotland. for more information go to www.localenergy-scotland.org/funding-resources/funding/local-energy-chanllenge-fund
