Local Lad to receive Saltire Summit Award

 Oakley Cundall a young man from Latheron is to receive the Saltire Summit Award at a prestigious award ceremony hosted by the Highland Third Sector HTSI at the Strathpeffer Pavillion on Thursday 25th August.  The Saltire Summit Award is the highest level of achievement within the Saltire scheme and  Summit  Nominations are assessed by a panel of young peers.  Throughout Highland only a dozen successful nominees will be awards this certificate.  Cundall is involved with many organisations in Caithness, notably Dunbeath Preservation Trust where he volunteers as a tour guide and assists in the office.   He is currently a student at North Highland College UHI.
