What is Caithness Rural Transport?

Caithness Rural Transport - 01955 605588Caithness Rural Transport offers disabled, the elderly and others in rural areas personal transportation where public transport is unavailable.

For only £3 membership per annum you can shop, visit friends, go to medical appointments and have fun at social functions!

Disabled Access

All drivers are fully trained and will help you to ‘hop’ on and off the vehicles, wheelchairs are also fully supported and our helpful drivers will help you board! 

The Cost?

There is a charge of 15p-£1 per person per mile depending on the length of the journey. You can even bring friends with you who will pay the same fare as you or an escort who is charged at £1.

Travel to ...

All journeys within the county can usually be serviced, just call the office 24 hours before to book your journey. Our drivers will take you shopping, visiting, socialising and medical appointments; if you’re unsure just ask.

Our vehicles are on the road 7 days a week between 9 am and 10pm

Just ring our office on 01955 605588 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. the day before you wish to travel. Have a pen handy and have the following information to hand…

  • The time you want to travel.
  • The pick up address and destination address.
  • How many people want to travel.
  • The time of your return journey.

There will be a membership fee of £3 paid yearly on 1st July, which may be done by completing and returning the application form.
