New Volunteering Award

Volunteering Highland is currently promoting these awards in Caithness. The Volunteer Friendly Award is a simple, user-friendly quality standard.  It is to support, recognise and reward groups who are good at involving volunteers.  To gain the award a checklist and action plan has to be completed and a folder of evidence submitted which is then assessed by an independent body.  There is a toolkit to help groups who want to improve what they do or review their current practices. Each group works through the award at it’s own pace. Some groups may finish in three months; others may take longer.

Support is provided by the local volunteer centre in Wick.
