Changes to Big Lottery changing spaces programme

Big Lottery changes made to the Community spaces programme.
Big Lottery have now agreed to consider applications from projects which are located outside eligible areas, so long as they can demonstrate the majority of individuals that will use the space or place reside within eligible areas. Projects which can demonstrate this will be able to make an application to the programme however in order for us to consider these cases initially they are asking organisations to provide details of the proposed location, and a short explanation, no more than 2 pages long, of how the project would meet this criteria. They will get back to organisations within two weeks advising if they are able to apply.
They expect to fund a wide range of activities involving meeting spaces; recreation; and community green spaces. Examples include providing facilities for community activity through developing and improving:
• local parks
• community paths and gardens
• play parks
• allotments
• community centres, and
• village halls.
