Join forces to deliver a ‘dream’ project
THE People’s Postcode Lottery Dream Fund is a new initiative developed by the People’s Postcode Trust team to give charitable organisations the chance to apply for 12 months’ funding of up to £100,000 to deliver their “dream†project.
Applications must come from a collaboration of at least two organisations, and meet at least one of the following funding criteria:
• Helping to involve volunteers
• Helping communities lead an active lifestyle
• Helping to tackle climate change
Applications can come from registered charities, voluntary groups and community interest companies. Local authorities and councils may also apply, but cannot be the lead organisation.
The Dream Fund encourages collaboration between organisations, so all applications must come from at least two groups that have joined forces to deliver a project. One of these must be a registered charity, and this organisation will be the one with which the trust enters into a contractual relationship.
The Dream Fund provides funding for up to £100,000. There is no minimum amount that you can apply for.
All projects must have a clear charitable purpose with visible results after 12 months, and have been developed to a point where they are ready to execute. For example, a community club may join forces with a local sports club to deliver an innovative sports project.
Applications open for the 2012 round on September 5, 2011, and close on December 2. Judging day is January 20, 2012, with the winners to be announced at the end of that month.
All application forms and associated documentation will be made available on the website http://www.postcodetrust.org.uk nearer the time.
