Highland Volunteer Presentation

Three volunteer coaches with Caithness Disability Multi-Sport recently received Highland Volunter Award certificates at their AGM.  The Highland Volunteer Awards are recognition for volunteers over the age of 25.  They can gain levels of achievement starting with the 'Introduction' level which required 50 hours of volunteering,  moving on to the 'Award of Excellence' which requires volunteeing for a minimum of 700 hours.  Volunteers are not restricted to hours  volunteering with one organisation but can accumulate hours from different organisations if they are active with multiple groups.  For example, Shaun Mahon volunteers with Thurso Golf Club as well as Disability Mulit-Sport and he is seen here receiving a Silver Award.   Also receiving Awards were Claire Maddin [left] who achieved Gold and Lizzy Mappin also receiving a Gold Award.
